As an aspiring nonprofit, Uplifted Families exists to support under-resourced families in the Washington, DC and Maryland communities. Guided by faith and driven by compassion, we are working to identify how we can best serve families in need — walking alongside them with dignity, respect, and hope as we grow.

Meet Our TeamUplifted Families is a youth-led, faith-inspired aspiring nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-resourced families across Washington, DC and Maryland. What began as a small club at our school has grown into a movement of young people committed to making a real difference in our communities — because we believe that every family deserves compassion, dignity, and hope.
Our journey started with a simple question: how can we, as young people, help families in our own neighborhoods who are struggling? From that question came a club, and from a club came a calling. Guided by our faith and fueled by our passion for service, we've built programs that address real needs — from educational support to resource assistance and community outreach.
As we grow, we continue to partner with schools, churches, and local organizations to identify families who need support most. We're building a Family Resource Guide, organizing donation drives, and creating outreach efforts designed to meet families where they are — offering help that truly makes a difference.
Being youth-driven isn't just who we are — it's our strength. We bring fresh energy, genuine empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing families today.
